As a rule this day was very windy that is why it's called as Miron the Windrunner. Miron is a Russian male name.
There belived that wind is a God's breath. Also, peasants thought that devilry could hide in the dust. The roadsides were inhabited with evil spirits called "shi-shi", when the wind rises - shishi's are getting weddings.
